When visiting the Colorado Sand Dunes, I noticed I was wearing the same dress I wore my first time in the White Sands three years ago. I thought it would be interesting to try to replicate one of my favorite self-portraits (seen on the left). Naturally, I couldn’t replicate it at all. Three years is too long to try to exhibit the same attitude or emotions from the past. I’m a different person now, hardened and older. Perhaps that’s okay. Perhaps we should let our past selves relish in the magic of the past and our present selves power through into the future.
