It had been three weeks since I’d been to a Metro Park to photograph. Three weeks ago it was just becoming Spring, with bursts of green and hints of what would come. Today, Spring was in full-on bloom, with hints of summer at every turn. Green everywhere. Heat everywhere. I had been to this park before (in December), and it looked like a completely different place. Today I was reminded of the swamps in New Orleans or the tiny forests in Asheville.
All in all, it was a nice afternoon photographing. I wish I could’ve stayed longer, but obligations beaconed me. Maybe I’ll have time to go back to one of these parks in the next few days. Probably not, but I can dream.
