Home No. 4
This is a pinhole photograph I made way back when I first start studying photography in college. Back before I made my South Dakota photographs, but when a part of me really wanted to make work in South Dakota. Before I knew too many conceptual rules or before I ever used Photoshop. Before photography was supposed to be a business for me or before I had “followers” on my tumblr account. This was made back when I just took a black foam box that I made myself, and that foam box captured light on paper for me, which I then developed in a darkroom in the wee hours of the morning while feeling confused and tired and excited.
Sometimes I miss being 19 and fumbling around in school.
